Note: Up to four NICs can be installed in a single system. If more than one card is installed, each card must have a different Identification number. |
NETWORK SEGMENT LENGTH NOTES |
The segment length is automatically detected and configured on this card, but may not be on other cards on the network segment. All NICs on the network segment must have this option set the same. |
DATA BUS SPEED NOTES |
On some systems the data bus timing is not truly IBM PC/AT compatible. If the card is not initializing, Changing the data bus speed from 'Normal' to 'Fast' may allow the card to operate properly. To change the data bus speed you must use the ICRCNFIG utility that comes with the card. |
BOOT ROM/CHECKPOINT SECURITY CHIP NOTES |
The boot ROM socket accepts an 8K boot ROM or a CheckPoint security chip. The CheckPoint security chip supplies virus protection, access control, and access logging functions. |
